Here is a super easy, but still impressive, beginner tatting pattern for this cute bookmark!
Even the most beginning beginner will likely be able to finish off one of these pretty easily.
This would also be a great project for a beginner who does not yet have rings and/or picots down.
All the joins in this pattern are lock joins, also known as shuttle joins.
The drawings in the linked pdf in the pattern show how to make this kind of join, which locks the thread so that the double stitches stop sliding at that point.
This project would also make a great last-minute gift for more advanced tatters as well.
