Here is a FREE tatting pattern for this gorgeous tatted snowflake!

There are instructions provided for tatting this snowflake with either picots going around the outside, or with size 11/0 seed beads…your choice!
I prefer the look of the one with picots, but an assortment of both would also be spectacular probably!
The featured image at the top of the page has been done with picots, and here is a separate image of the ornament tatted to include seed beads.
For this project, you will need to use two shuttles and the continuous thread method (meaning you don’t cut the thread in between the two shuttles).
Techniques you will need to know to tat this ornament include rings, three different sizes of picots, chains, split rings, and a technique called “second side of a split ring join.” Instructions for this second side join are included on the last page of the pattern.
If you choose to tat this ornament with beads, you will need eighty-four size 11/0 seed beads in your choice of color for each ornament.
I hope you give this pattern a try, and Happy Tatting!
